Here’s a bit of advice

When getting a baking dish from the bottom rack of the oven, use the hot mitt, not the hot pad.

    OW. I still have a scar on my knuckle from doing the exact. same. thing. a few years back. It’s twinging in sympathy right now.

    I went to grab a dish out of the oven once-with no mitts at all. Thankfully, brain kicked in before I hurt myself badly….
