  1. Melville says:

    #1 is Manhattan
    #7 is My Favorite Year

  2. deblipp says:

    Melville, you’re right, as ever.

  3. Ken says:

#3 has gotta be Monty Python and the Holy Grail

  4. Evn says:

    Aaargh, Ken scooped me again.

  5. Trevor J says:

Is #2 Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?

  6. deblipp says:

    Two wrong answers on #2.

  7. deblipp says:

Maurinsky, check your answer: Did you mean Moonstruck is #5? (Because it isn’t.)

  8. maurinsky says:

#5 sounds like such an Albert Brooks line, and I know I’ve heard it, but damned if I can remember what movie.

  9. maurinsky says:

    #2….Million Dollar Baby, maybe?

  10. Melville says:

If Maurinsky is right about Albert Brooks, then #5 must be Modern Romance.

  11. Melville says:

I’m still trying to figure out how you found what must be the only line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail I don’t know. I was sure my friends and I had the whole thing memorized back then 🙂 .

  12. deblipp says:

Mel, I didn’t know it either, until Nobody in Particular pointed it out to me; it’s his favorite line.

  13. deblipp says:

    No one has #5 yet.

  14. Evn says:

I think #5 is Miami Rhaposdy.

  15. deblipp says:

    Evn, score!

  16. George says:

#6 is Meet Me in St. Louis (which I love, btw)

  17. Ken says:

I didn’t “know” the line either, Melville….. but it just *sounded* so Monty Python it couldn’t have been from anything else!

  18. Melville says:

Hmm, that’s weird. You didn’t know it, i didn’t know it, Deb didn’t know it. Do you think NiP is putting one over on us? Did he say exactly where in the movie it’s from, and who says it, Deb?

  19. deblipp says:

    LOL @ Mel!

Mel, I watched the movie with NiP, in person like, and he quoted it aloud, and that’s how I realized it was in there.

  20. Melville says:

O.K., I’ll take your word for it.

But I’m gonna be listening extra carefully next time I watch the movie. 😉

  21. deblipp says:

I believe it is the first encounter with the French, but if not, it’s definitely spoken by the French taunters.
