Damn. I forgot trivia.

You guys must hate me. Checking back here all day, and finding nothing. I suck.

Okay, here’s a day-late starter, play amongst yourselves:

He tells the story of being embarrassed by an erection at a school age pool party.

Today’s movies all start with “F” (not counting “the” etc.).

Go!

  1. Melville says:

    Was it made after 1990?

  2. Evn says:

Hmmm. The only British films beginning with F that I can think of are <Four Weddings and a Funeral and The Full Monty, but those have both turned up in Tuesday Trivia recently.

Actually, is it The Full Monty? I don’t remember it including this particular scene, but I haven’t seen the movie in ages…

  3. crow says:

Fast Times at Ridgemont High, of course!!!

  4. Deborah Lipp says:

Evn, it’s Full Monty, and I didn’t review other recent Tuesday Trivias to make sure I wasn’t repeating myself. I usually do, because the same movies come up for me over and over as being most memorable.

  5. Evn says:

Yay for me! (And sorry ’bout the delayed response, I needed food.)

The creator of the series on which the film is based makes a cameo appearance as himself. He attempts to crash the wedding of the two main characters.

  6. Melville says:

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

I love when Stan Lee shows up in Marvel movies. He’s such a ham.

  7. Evn says:

    You are correct!

  8. Melville says:

The actress who plays the antagonist/villainess in this film would, a decade later, star as a very similar character in a TV series, except that character would be the heroine/matriarch.

  9. Melville says:

    Hint; It’s a Western.

  10. Deborah Lipp says:

I know, I’m trying, I’m trying. I am looking at Dallas and Knots Landing and stuff like that, I’m sure I’ll find a matriarch type in there somewhere.

  11. Melville says:

The TV series pre-dates Dallas, Knots Landing, etc.

  12. maurinsky says:

The Furies? Barbara Stanwyck was the matriarch of The Colbys.

  13. Melville says:

That wasn’t the movie I was thinking of, or the series, but it’s the right actress, and it fits the criteria, so I’ll give it to you.

  14. Melville says:

I was thinking of Forty Guns, and “The Big Valley.”

The Furies is a great movie, too.

  15. Hogan says:

Was it Forty Guns and The Big Valley?

  16. Melville says:

Uh-oh, who gets to do the next one, maurinsky or Hogan? Ruling from the judge?

  17. Deborah Lipp says:

That’s the weirdest judge ruling I have ever had to do. You gave it to maurinsky before Hogan posted, so she’s up, but wow.

  18. Hogan says:

    Aprez vous, maurinsky.

  19. Hogan says:

    Apres. Quell’ever.

  20. maurinsky says:

    Sorry! Okay….

Jack Nicholson, Dan Ackroyd, John Malkovich and John Cusack were all considered, at various times during the development phase, to play the part of the main character of this film.

  21. Hogan says:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

  22. maurinsky says:

    Correct, Hogan. Your turn.

  23. Hogan says:

    Jerry flees the interview.

  24. Hogan says:

I can’t tell whether I stumped the band or everyone left.

  25. maurinsky says:

    My band is stumped.

  26. Evn says:

    Fargo.

I’m still in the game. [spits blood]

  27. Hogan says:

Yah that’s real good there, evn.

  28. Evn says:

I’ll toss out an easy one to wrap this up:

Only three of the four offerings make it to the Honeymoon Suite.

  29. Evn says:

    I knew you’d get it.
