1. Will you be looking for a new job?
No. I mean, disaster could strike, but I’m very stable in this job and I’m a stable type person.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
Absofuckinglutely.
3. New house?
No way. Maybe in 2009 or later, I’d like to own all four walls but not now.
4. What will you do differently in 08?
Let go more; control less. Hah! But no, I think I really will.
5. New Years resolution?
I really need to keep better tax records.
6. What will you not be doing in 08?
Moving to the Bahamas. Having sex with Antonio Banderas. Growing younger instead of older. Alas, alas.
7. Any trips planned?
I plan to go back to Brazil in June. I hope more travel. More! Travel!
8. Wedding plans?
Christine & Mike’s.
9. What’s on your calendar?
The trip to Brazil. Pagan stuff. Wheel of the year plus rituals and such. Moving Arthur into a college (I hope) next September.
10. What can’t you wait for?
The empty nest.
11. What would you like to see happen differently?
I’d like some of the sudden and unexpected problems from this year to clear up. 2006 was way better.
12. What about yourself will you be changing?
Write with more focus and explore more fiction. Lose my temper less.
13. What happened in 07 that you didn’t think would ever happen?
Arthur’s illness and Orien Rose’s accident were both major and difficult and sucked up a lot of my life. As a result of the latter, I got kind of a reputation as a healer, and that was something. I sat behind the wheel of an Aston Martin—I never thought that would happen!
14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about?
I will be as nice as I possibly can, and I hope to improve the possible.
15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in 07?
2007 was a big year for improving my look, and I spent too much money doing it, so I won’t be wearing a lot of new clothes in 2008 because damn, I have enough.
16. Will you start or quit drinking?
Not so much.
17. Will you better your relationship with your family?
Depends on what you mean by “family.”
18. Will you do charity work?
About as much as ever.
19. Will you go to bars?
I don’t think so.
20. Will you be nice to people you don’t know?
I’m always nice to some people I don’t know.
21. Do you expect 08 to be a good year for you?
I have no expectations. No, I guess I don’t.
22. How much did you change from this time last year til now?
I don’t think I’ve changed much. I have a very stable view of myself. I think even when I change I’m still so much me that it’s not like…change. But the new blog is the next big thing and I am excited.
23. Do you plan on having a child?
Over my dead body.
24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now?
Yes. I hope I have finished the part of my life where I wash my hands of people. I’ve mended an awful lot of fences in the last couple of years and I’d liike to maintain that.
25. Major lifestyle changes?
If I had a relationship, that would be major, but I’m not planning on…oh, changing my orientation or becoming a hermit or living off the grid or converting to a new religion or anything like that.
26. Will you be moving?

27. What will you make sure doesn’t happen in 08 that happened in 07?
I will bend heaven and Earth to keep Sanjaya off American Idol.
28. What are your New Years Eve plans?
No one has invited me, pout pout.
