  1. Wendy says:

With #5, I kept getting stuck mentally on Gene Kelly (an expatriate in An American in Paris? and definitely a dancer).

  2. Deborah Lipp says:

Funny thing is, I wrote the whole post around Hines. (Him and Glass.) He got stuck in my head and I started thinking of roles.

  3. Tom Hilton says:

I feel better about not getting 5 & 7–I haven’t seen any of the tv shows or movies mentioned in those two.

  4. Melville says:

Ah, I didn’t watch Will & Grace much after its first season or two. I just kept mulling over the casts of all the law firm shows (Richard Dysart as a dancer? Peter MacNicol as a jazz saxophonist? William Shatner as either?? Gah!)

Also shows how we make assumptions on certain words. Tom and I immediately caught “shepherd,” but when I saw “expatriate,” I could only associate it with Americans in Paris (Rather than Gene Kelly, I got mentally stuck on Sidney Poitier in Paris Blues, a jazz saxophonist expatriate,) or maybe Brits in Italy.

You’re right, I’ve never heard of The Tic Code. Interesting cast.

  5. Deborah Lipp says:

The Tic Code is a lovely movie; maybe the only honest look at Tourette’s.

  6. Christina says:

Timothy Busfield was the director on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. And one of three good things about that show (Timothy Busfield, Rob Corddry and the girl from Shaun of the Dead).

  7. Deborah Lipp says:

I could not for the life of me remember Busfield’s job on Studio 60, but a director is on the production staff like all the other jobs I thought he might have had but wasn’t sure. Ha!

I loved that show and I’m sorry it was cancelled. I recognize this is a minority view but I’m used to that.
