Do you suppose…

Now that Harriet Miers’s nomination has been withdrawn, do you suppose she’ll be hired as a consultant to determine what went wrong with the nomination process?

Just wondering.

    LOL!!

How much does she know about Arabian horses? 😉

Great joke, madam, but you can bet that Bush will prattle on indignantly about what “went wrong” with the process.

Naw. Bush is going to say, “oh, f*** it, I’ll just nomnate Dobson and be done with it.”

Harriet’s going to go live with my aunt in upstate NY, because they’re two of a kind (ancient virgins, that is).

Some Dem’s are saying he will just nominate someone way worse. But I’m glad someone who thinks Bush is “brilliant” is not going to sit on the court

The thing is, the Wingnuts have shot themselves in the foot. They used a litmus test on abortion, so they can no longer tell the Dems its unthinkable to do so. They didn’t allow Miers so much as a confirmation hearing, so they can no longer tell the Dems that every Bush nominee deserves an up-or-down vote. They blocked the nomination of someone because she wasn’t far right enough, so they can no longer tell the Dems that it’s wrong to block the nomination of someone who is too far right.

    This is yummy.

But Deb, that presumes that the Wingnuts think logically, consistently, fairly, and intelligently. Don’t you know that the right wing is always right, because they’re God-fearing heterosexual patriots? And that the Democrats are always wrong, because they’re godless, traitorous, baby-killing sodomites? The Wingnuts won’t learn any lessons from this … if they’ve painted themselves into a corner, they’ll just blame the Democrats for scratching up the floor and failing to put a door in the corner.

No it doesn’t. Because the media has regained the rudiments of a spine; at least one or two vertebrae, and that’s all it takes to point out the gross inconsistencies when they occur.
